The power of words and their ability to sway people is a common theme in literature. Writers use words to create characters whom their readers can connect with and to give meaning to the world around them. Characterization is important, but it is only half the battle. The other half requires faith, which cannot be gained through study alone, but must be found through experience. We all know that character is everything in a novel, but we can also know that without faith, we will never make any true connection with the characters and will never trust the action of our words.
